Virtual Canada Day Join Global News’ Farah Nasser and ET Canada’s Sangita Patel for an online show featuring interviews and musical performances by some of the biggest names to come from Mississauga. The official ceremony will put guests in that proud-to-be-Canadian state of mind as Mayor Bonnie Crombie and Members of Council will lead a reaffirmation oath encouraging attendees to re-confirm their Canadian Citizenship. It offers free year-round programming produced by both the City and community. This year’s virtual event will be hosted by Global News’ Farah Nasser and ET Canada’s Sangita Patel.
MiWay will also offer additional trips from the City Centre Transit Terminal following the fireworks on the following routes: 3, 10, 19, 23, 26, 34 and 61. Global Newsâ Farah Nasser and ET Canadaâs Sangita Patel will host the online event. Platinum-selling, award-winning, recording artists, Marianas Trench are headlining the mega event on the main stage. Together, in a virtual environment, Mississauga can celebrate and share their pride in being Canadian! Local artist DaHye Kim created artwork that you can print and colour for this city-wide public art project.
The program will include Mayor Bonnie Crombie and Members of Council hosting a modified official ceremony, where residents will be invited to take the oath of reaffirmation virtually, as well as recognition of other Canada Day events from across the city. Afternoon hosts, Global News’ Anthony Farnell and Farah Nasser and evening hosts, Antony Robart and ET Canada’s Sangita Patel will host the event which includes a full day of family-friendly entertainment.
