Nice dunes and beach with a few wlaking tracks throughout. A great little park and it seems to be one of the few natural areas left on the Kapiti Coast. Wished we'd had longer here as it was gorgeous and tranquil - we were en route to a ferry crossing and only had a short time but we really enjoyed our brief visit. On the right as you drive into the shopping precint of Lithgow you find this lovely & large urban park. Stoppd for a couple of hours on the way from Wellington to Palmerston North.

What used to be beautiful picnic sites are now full of weeds, the buildings in the reserve are crumbling, the toilet facilities are appalling.
